Look Fantastic's December beauty box is worth a huge £69 and includes Nuxe (2025)

LookFantastic's December Beauty Box has just landed, offering beauty enthusiasts the chance to sample some top-notch brands and products for a mere £15 ahead of Christmas. Valued at a whopping £69, this box allows you to save £54 on fantastic beauty items from renowned brands such as Gatineau, NUXE, and REN.

If you're unfamiliar with LookFantastic's monthly subscription box model, here's how it works: For a one-off month, it costs £15, or £13 if you commit to a 12-month subscription, receiving the box every month. Typically, the brand's beauty box contains six high-end skincare and makeup products all delivered straight to your doorstep.

But, to give us one last treat before the year is out, this December, there's a bonus seventh item inside. And that's not the only gift as, after trying out these gems, you'll be glowing from head to toe.

This December haul from LookFantastic comes neatly packaged in a recyclable cardboard box and includes a moisturising face gel-cream, shimmering body oil, hair oil, cleanser, blusher, gradual tanning lotion, and a vibrant red nail varnish - keep things festive.

Kicking off with the Uriage Bariederm-Cica Daily Gel-Cream, which is priced at £22 (so you've already saved £7 on this product alone if buying the box as a one-off gift). After washing my face and applying it, I found the texture to be incredibly light and somewhat watery - not heavy and rich - which was quite refreshing.

The product description, reports the Mirror, promises to repair and enhance 'dull complexions, discomfort, signs of fatigue, fine lines, small visible imperfections, or light redness'. While I haven't yet seen any of these improvements - I haven't been using it long enough - it quickly absorbed into my skin and left it instantly soft, which I'll take as a win.

Plus, it feels quite soothing and really hydrating after use - which I put down to its Centella Asiatica, Hyaluronic Acids and Vitamin B5 infused formula.

The NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Shimmering Florale Multi-Purpose Dry Oil, which can be used on hair, body and face, piqued my interest.

The first thing I noticed about this shimmering oil was its floral scent, which I must say is not as 'light' as it claims. I found that it left a fragrance lingering in the air after application, which felt quite luxurious although, for me, perhaps a bit too strong.

Having only used it on my legs and arms so far, my skin was left feeling silky smooth after using just a few drops. This is likely due to the seven 'precious' oils in the mix - Tsubaki, argan, macadamia, borage, camellia, hazelnut and sweet almond.

It dried quickly as promised - I could dress almost immediately - and it left a subtle glow, without being overly pearly. Be careful though, as the oil is quite watery and can easily spill.

I've used the Moroccanoil Original Treatment before, so I knew my hair would love it. The treatment is packed with antioxidant-rich Argan Oil and vitamins that boost radiance.

After applying it to damp hair, my locks felt great and looked smoother (brushing through it was less of a struggle). .

Plus, my frizz was more under control than when I let it dry without any products - especially if I apply the oil to dry hair too. Anything that makes my hair look and feel fabulous gets my full endorsement.

Next on the list was the REN Clean Skincare Jelly Oil Cleanser, which first and foremost, smells heavenly. This oil-based formula, containing grape seed, sunflower and meadowfoam oil, left my face feeling smooth, fresh and glowing (from certain angles).

It also removed my face makeup with ease. My initial attempt didn't quite achieve the oil-to-milk transformation (I hadn't applied enough), but a 5p-sized amount on the second try did the trick.

My only qualm with the box is that these small applications used up almost half of the tube, so a larger size would have been appreciated for longevity. However, it's perfect for a short trip.

What's interesting about this tube is that the deluxe size product features an innovative nozzle that you snap off to open the cleanser, and the tip of the nozzle is then used to close and plug the tube. The only makeup products in the kit are a liquid blusher from Revolution - a beautiful dusky rose tone that blends well and leaves a hydrated glow, although it dries quickly - and a scarlet red nail varnish, something you can never have too many of.

One product I'm eager to see the results of overtime is the Gatineau Golden Glow gradual tan lotion. Being a big fan of its face moisturiser, I was confident that the formula would be light on the skin and easily absorbed.

Made with coconut oil and vitamin E, the lotion, which is more watery than thick, left my skin feeling quite soft. As a gradual tan, I knew not to expect any immediate change to my skin tone, but after a few more applications, I'm hoping for a lovely natural sunkissed glow.

Overall, this December Beauty Box from LookFantastic is a delightful way to indulge in some real TLC this festive season, whether your skin needs a much-needed hydration boost or your hair requires some sprucing up. In other news, LookFantastic isn't the only beauty retailer offering monthly beauty edits delivered straight to your door.

Glossybox also offers its own beauty subscription model here at £13.50 for a one-off payment or £12.50 for a year's subscription.
